Holiday Favorite Nutcracker Ballet Comes to Kavli Theatre on Dec. 17 & 18

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Thousand Oaks Bank of America Performing Arts Center!

Guest artists Tiler Peck and Roman Mejia, principal dancers from New York City Ballet, will perform as the Sugar Plum Fairy and Cavalier in the beloved Christmas tale adapted by Alexandre Dumas, pére from E.T.A. Hoffmann’s story, “The Nutcracker and the King of Mice,” and set to Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite, Op.71a. They accompany several other guest artists and dancers from the local ballet company, Pacific Festival Ballet.

Dancers Mia Nelson (Saturday shows) and Emily Joseph (Sunday shows) will perform the classic Christmas story role of Clara.

Performances of the Nutcracker Ballet grace the stage of the Fred Kavli Theatre with two shows on Saturday, Dec. 17, and two shows on Sunday, Dec. 18, both at 2 and 7 p.m. Visit Pacfestballet.org for more information and to purchase tickets online.
