The Ventura County Republican Assembly held its endorsement convention on April 12 in Thousand Oaks. The following Republican candidates for election in Ventura County were endorsed by a vote of the membership: Keith Taylor for Ventura County Assessor Jeffery Burgh for Ventura County Auditor-Controller Ron Speakman for Ventura County Treasurer-Tax Collector Jeff Hargleroad for Ventura County Clerk and Recorder John Barrick for Ventura County District Attorney Jim Fryhoff for Ventura County Sheriff Tim McCarthy for Ventura County Board of Supervisors District 2 Ed Abele for Ventura County Board of Supervisors District 4 Cole Brocato for Assembly District 38 Lori Mills for Assembly District42 Matt Jacobs for US Congress District 26 Lucie Volotzky for US Congress District 32 The membership also endorsed a “No” vote on Ventura County Measure A/B. The Ventura County Republican Assembly is a chartered political organization from the California Republican Assembly (http://cragop.org/) which is charted from the National Federation of Republican Assemblies (https://www.nationalrepublicanassemblies.com/) which was stared in 1935.
