Public records obtained by the Conejo Guardian show that 22 percent of City of Thousand Oaks employees are working remotely as part of a Telework arrangement available to employees who request it. Once approved, employees work off-site or from home under a 3-month trial period, after which remote work can be extended annually thereafter.
Highlights from the City’s Telework policy:
● Employee agrees to maintain a work environment that is quiet and free from distractions.
● Employee agrees to maintain a work environment that is ergonomically sound, clean, safe and free of obstructions and hazardous situations … free of clutter, exposed wiring, slippery surfaces and other potential hazards.
