Johanna Elenore Aulbach (Elly) 1936–2022
Johanna Eleonore Aulbach (Elly) was born on March 9, 1936, in Altenbuch, Germany, the daughter of Anna and Hermann. She died peacefully in her sleep on May 24, 2022, at the age of 86. Elly grew up in a small town and as a small child and lived in a remote monastery during World War II. Later, as young adult, she fell in love with Elvis and had a desire to live in a big city. Elly moved to the United States, marrying Sydney Niekerk on August, 14 1958 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She became a US Citizen on March 17, 1967. Elly divorced Sidney Niekerk in 2002. She was a longtime resident in, Calabasas, CA from 1972 to 2020. She then moved to Westlake Village, CA in 2020 until her passing. Elly enjoyed, dining out with friends, shopping (looking for the best bargain possible), caring for her 3 parrots and long chats over a cup of espresso (with cookies of course) with anyone that came by. Elly was loved by all who knew her. Elly requested no services. Her ashes were spread on the Top of Innsbruck, Austria per her request. We think about her every day and she is missed.
