The Simi Valley Street Fair is planned for Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Simi Town Center Way. TINY PORCH CONCERTS PRESENTS SHANE ALEXANDER WITH WATER TOWER

On Sunday, May 14, 2023, Tiny Porch Concerts presents its 2023 Summer Series at Peter Strauss Ranch featuring Shane Alexander with Water Tower.

These concerts are open to the public and open to all ages. Admission is FREE (however, a suggested $20 donation helps us support the great work of the Santa Monica Mountains Fund). Special reserved $60 VIP tickets are available that include a beer, wine, and cheese reception an hour before the music begins and a chair waiting for you in the theater! ARE OUR ELECTIONS FAIR?

The Conejo Valley Republican Women, Federated present Guest Speaker, Dr. Douglas Frank, noted scientist and elections analyst.

In Spring 2021, Dr. Frank was formally asked to conduct an analysis to investigate the contested results of a congressional race in Pennsylvania. “I discovered the algorithms that were controlling the election,” Dr. Frank said. He has state- by-state graphs to prove his theory of the Dominion algorithm.

CALIFORNIA STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL AT THE VENTURA COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS

After a three-year hiatus due to challenges brought on by the pandemic, the 37th Annual California Strawberry Festival will take place Saturday and Sunday, May 20-21, 2023. For the first time, the event will be held at the Ventura County Fairgrounds. Festivalgoers can indulge in strawberry treats from over 40 food and beverage booths. The festival features artists and crafters, a Ninja Nation obstacle course, live entertainment on two stages, Strawberryland for kids and a “build-your-own” strawberry shortcake.

An estimated 1.5 million strawberries will be consumed over the two-day festival. Vine-ripened strawberries grown in the Oxnard Plain are considered by many to be the juiciest strawberries in the world. Since its inception, the nonprofit California Strawberry Festival has donated over $4.5 million to Southern California charitable organizations.

TAXPAYERS’ TOWN HALL: A FOCUS ON PUBLIC SAFETY

Join VCTA (Ventura County Taxpayers Association) as they host the Taxpayers’ Townhall, a special event focused on Public Safety. This engaging discussion will feature prominent guests, including 1st District Supervisor and Chair Matt LaVere, Sheriff Jim Fryhoff, and District Attorney Erik Nasarenko. Together, they will address the challenges that Ventura County is facing in the fight against the rapidly growing fentanyl epidemic.
