Grab your friends and family and join us for the festive Ventura Annual Turkey Trot. We are back in person for 2021 and can’t wait to see you. This loop course is fast and flat, so come out and sweat with us before you sit down for your Thanksgiving dinner.

You will pick up your shirt/mug and medal at Mile 26 Running Co in Ventura or pick up race morning.
When picking up your medal and shirt/mug (at Mile 26 Running Co the day before the event or on race morning at the Ventura Auto Center), participants are also asked to bring non-perishable food items to donate which we will donate to the Ventura County Area Agency on Aging Food Drive.
This year’s charity partner is the Ventura Land Trust – https://www.venturalandtrust.org/.
Since 2003, Ventura Land Trust, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, has been protecting and preserving the beautiful open space in Ventura and the surrounding region. To date, we have permanently protected 30 acres of open space in the Ventura River watershed, managed 60 acres more and are currently working on the purchase of 2,100 acres of prime hillside property with the goal of opening the first large-scale, publicly accessible hillside nature preserve in Ventura.

Welcome to the 8th annual Thanksgiving Day 5K!
Course Description: Race start – 8:00 am
Start at Rancho Simi Park and run along the Arroyo bike path that is lined with beautiful trees for shade and runs through the center of Simi Valley and along the Arroyo Creek. This is still home to ducks and herons, (AKA – not cranes), who are soaking up the sun while playing in the gently flowing spring /summertime water There will be Aid stations every 1.5 miles.
Weekend Warriors / Beginners / walkers:
Yes, this is a very walker friendly course! It is mostly flat with a few gentle rollers to keep you on your game. There are plenty of aid stations, and this event is loads of fun!
Middle of the pack runners:
Looking for a PR (Personal Record)?? Then this is the race for you! Mostly flat course with some gentle rollers and plenty of room to make your move towards your new PR.
Elite and Advanced runners:
This is a mostly flat course along with some mild rollers, which are midway through your run. There are some long stretches to allow you to open up your speed along the homestretch of the course.

Celebrate 145 years of the Grand Union Hotel for the Holidays at the Inn 2021. Decor will represent the many uses of the first commercial building in the Conejo Valley starting with the Grand Union Hotel that opened in 1876 and reopened on July 4, 1976, as the Stagecoach Inn Museum. Did you know that the building was used for church services, schooling, restaurants and many other purposes? Unwrap the Grand Union Hotel tells the story of the building, with a patriotic twist in decor, music, and lights.
Holiday at the Inn Night-Life on Fridays showcases a variety of live musical performances and lights throughout the grounds. Gate on Susan Drive opens at 6:15pm; the show starts at 6:30pm. Guests will be greeted in the beautifully decorated Inn, Timber School, Tri-Village and Blacksmith Shop by knowledgeable costumed docents. Young guests will receive a gift bag while Santa’s workshop’s supplies last. Looking for a fun gift or stocking stuffer? Visit the hotel’s saloon and general store (The Emporium). Stop by Anderson Hall for a refreshment treat. Of course, Santa Claus will be atop his stagecoach for photos!

STUDIO CHANNEL ISLANDS HOSTS ANNUAL HOLIDAY ART MARKET

Studio Channel Islands, located at 2222 E. Ventura Blvd., Camarillo, kicks off the holiday season with its annual holiday fair and festival, 11 a.m., Dec. 4, featuring distinctive artwork for gift-giving created by SCIART artists-in-residence and member artists, live music, free activities for kids, food trucks and more. The shopping continues noon to 4 p.m., Dec. 5, throughout Studio Channel Islands’ 40 artist studios offering unique gifts and one-of-a-kind artwork. Visitors can browse through 40 professional artist studios and additional vendors, meeting the artists and watching them at work creating paintings, sculpture, ceramics, photographs, jewelry, weaving, fabric arts and more. Admission is free, and there is ample free parking.
This year’s festivities include a campus-wide outdoor exhibition of chrysalis lanterns, each measuring at least 4 feet, created by 12 member artists and representing our community coming back to life as it begins to emerge from COVID-19. Visitors are invited to create their own chrysalis under the guidance of volunteers using supplies provided free of charge.
