The Ventura County Board of Supervisors voted on April 13 to dismiss their lawsuit against Godspeak Calvary Chapel. Since May 31, 2020, Godspeak Calvary Chapel has opened its doors to the public despite mandates restricting houses of worship. The Board of Supervisors voted to sue the church at the beginning of August and obtained a temporary restraining order. This announcement comes after Governor Gavin Newsom lifted all capacity restrictions on houses of worship on April 12.
