CDC Update on COVID Testing and Post-Vaccine Quarantine

“People who have tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 3 months and recovered do not have to quarantine or get tested again as long as they do not develop new symptoms” (www.cdc.gov).

You do not need to quarantine after completing the vaccination process when exposed to COVID-19 if the following criteria are met:

  • It has been at least two weeks since your final vaccine dose.
  • You have no symptoms of COVID-19.
  • It has been less than 3 months since the final vaccination dose. If it has been greater than 3 months since your final dose, you WILL need to quarantine based on current guidelines.
